New release - STILL MISSING - Amethyst Cove Series

STILL MISSING
(Amethyst Cove Series)
By Christiane France

This is the sequel to Missing, But Not Dead, and there’s a third book in the works.

Blurb:

Ever since Greg Stewartson, ex-cop, private investigator, and half-owner of Amethyst Cove Security & Investigations, first met Ash Tyler, a handsome and very sexy nurse, he’s been trying to find Ash’s biological family—the one Ash says he had before he was taken into care and adopted by the Tylers more than twenty years ago. Greg and Ash are now a couple, but Greg’s leads have all turned into dead ends, so Ash told him to let it go.

Then one night a half-drowned man is brought into the urgent care clinic where Ash works. He says he’s looking for Jack Smith, the man Ash knew as grandpa. Suddenly Greg is up to his ears in new information and new leads. Will he finally get Ash the answers he so desperately wants or is he being conned by a pair of clever hustlers determined to conceal the truth?

Excerpt:

“Did you get a chance to follow up on that guy who was brought into the clinic last night? The one who said he had to find Jack?”
“I made a few inquiries. That waiter you said brought him into the clinic didn’t know anything about him, but he said his friend might. Today was the friend’s day off, but I’ll try to stop by the surf shop again tomorrow.”
“You didn’t go down to the rocks?” Ash seemed a tad surprised.
“Not yet. I figure I should wait and hear what the other guy has to say about him first.”
He reached up and patted my cheek. “Sorry. I didn’t mean to push. I guess that’s how you PI’s have to do it, huh? One careful step at a time?”
“It’s all I can do when I have nothing solid to go on.”
Ash nodded. “Probably the best approach with this guy. He was pretty jumpy last night. I wouldn’t want him to take off before we know what he’s all about.”
This was exactly why I’d decided not to say anything about my chat with Mary or the kid who’d shown up in The Riptide, at least for now. No point in raising Ash’s hopes for what could be yet another disappointment.
“We still going to Le Pastis for dinner?”
“That’s the plan. I just need a few minutes to change.”
I chuckled at the way he managed to slide his body off the lounger without disturbing the cats more than absolutely necessary.
“I see the boys already have you well trained.”
“Trained? Me?” He shook his head. “No way. I was just trying to be considerate and not spoil their sleep.”
“Right.” I wrapped my arms around Ash and gave him a hug. “They’re so good at what they do, you don’t even know they’ve done it. Now, scoot. I’m starving.” With that, I turned him toward the house and gave him a smack on the butt as incentive.
He took a couple of steps, wiggled his ass and shot me a provocative look over his shoulder. “Before I change I need to wash off the sunblock. Sure you wouldn’t like to join me in the shower? Maybe wash my back, massage my shoulders a little…hmm? What do you say?”
            “No. Now, go.”
            “No?”

MySexySaturday - The Gallery On Main Street

November 7, 2015:

For this week’s edition of MySexySaturday http://mysexysaturday.blogspot.ca/ I have seven paragraphs from The Gallery On Main Street—an erotic contemporary m/m romance in which our main character finds himself desperately wanting a man he doesn’t even like.

THE GALLERY ON MAIN STREET
by Christiane France

Blurb:

Martyn Cole doesn’t like his late uncle’s business partner, and he knows the feeling is mutual. Trouble is he wants Simon Deschamps as badly as he suspects Simon wants him, and when the terms of his uncle’s Will force them to work together, Martyn knows he must either figure a way to redirect his emotions elsewhere, or deal with them head on.

After deciding on the direct approach, he calls Simon, says they need to talk, and suggests they have dinner together. However, the restaurant Martyn had in mind is closed, so Simon takes him to a nearby club. Martyn isn’t sure what to expect, but just as he gives up hope of the evening developing beyond dinner and a drink, things take a definite and exciting turn as the lights dim, the music is turned up, and Simon draws Martyn into his arms and onto the dance floor.

Excerpt:

The lights dim even further until the room is dark as sin and it’s only the spotlights highlighting the walls. The volume of the music increases, and Simon takes my hand, urging me on to the tiny dance floor a few feet away.

The room disappears as I close my eyes and give myself up to the moment, the music and the man. I’m caught up somewhere between wide awake and dreaming. I know my most outrageous desires are about to come true, and I relish the delicious sensation of Simon’s nearness as we slow dance our way around the cramped space.

My arms encircle Simon’s waist, and he cups my ass in his hands, squeezing and kneading until I’m breathless with need. Our mouths meet and our tongues tangle. He’s as turned on as I am, and I smell his body-heat as his slips a hand between us and begins to caress my dick.

I’m so content and so happy, I could stay like this forever. But the music changes to something a little more up-tempo, and we go back to our table.

Without a word and without missing a beat, Simon picks up where he left off a moment ago. Wrapping an arm around me, I feel the warm, wet glide of his tongue along my lips while his free hand opens the zipper of my jeans and slips inside. I’m hot, I’m hard, and I hold my breath as I feel his cool hand touch my aroused cock. I tell myself to hold on, to keep my mind firmly focused. I’m a heartbeat from coming, and I want to enjoy this. I want to make it last for a minute or two at the very least.

His fingers skim me lightly from root to tip, and I shiver with excitement. Then he rubs the tip with the pad of his thumb, and the slightly callused texture of his skin pushes me right to the edge.

“Let it happen,” he murmurs as he wraps his hand around my shaft and begins to slide it up and down the entire length, gradually increasing the pressure and speed until I know I can’t hold back for even one more second, and then and only then do I push his hand away.

IWSG Blog Hop - November 4, 2015

November 4, 2015

Moving On:

Three weeks ago my husband passed away painlessly and peacefully in his sleep. He had congestive heart failure and he was so weak and so tired his enjoyment of life was long gone. I know he wanted to go, and I know he was more than ready, just as I know, too, what happened was for the best.

Everyone tells me to stay strong. That I need to accept it and move on. I’m trying, but saying goodbye is the hardest thing I’ve ever done—except I haven’t done it, not really. Maybe one day but not yet. We spent too many years together for me to just blow it all off with a kiss, a wave of my hand, and a whispered “Thanks for the memories.” He was my love, my whole life, my reason for being, what motivated me to get up each morning. I miss him so much and I’ve learned the hard way that we never truly realize what we have until it’s gone.

Love you, honey. Forever and always.
