MySexySaturday - NO ONE'S PERFECT

August 1, 2015:

For this week’s edition of MySexySaturday http://mysexysaturday.blogspot.ca/ I have seven paragraphs from my latest erotic romance release NO ONE’S PERFECT—an m/m contemporary.

NO ONE’S PERFECT
By Christiane France

This is book 2 in the Hennessey Falls series.

Blurb:

Thanks to an ill-timed joke and a thoughtless action, Terry Miller not only lost his job, he also lost Liam, the man he loved and expected to spend the rest of his life with. A year has passed and Terry knows he should either find it in his heart to forgive Liam for his part in what happened, or forget him and move on. But he can’t forgive and he can’t forget. As far as Terry is concerned, Liam’s the one who owes him the apology.
Terry briefly appeared in The Replacement, the first book in this series, when he had a blind date with Noah Davidson, the owner of the Davidson Group, a string of restaurants and bars. In this one, Terry is in the final week of a 3-month trial period as manager of the latest jewel in the Davidson crown--BG's an after-hours nightclub.

                                                  ^ ^ ^

I felt someone touch my arm. “Hey, Terry. This is a surprise.”

My heart stopped beating, and my throat closed. I’d recognized the voice, the touch, and most of all I’d recognized the aftershave. Liam Ashdale. All I wanted to do was get up and get the hell out of there.

I did not need this!

I took a deep breath, controlled the urge to run, and forced myself to meet Liam’s gaze. He was just as good-looking and every bit as sexy as I remembered, but I refused to let it get to me. Whatever his reason for being here, I did not want to know. He’d ruined my life once. I’d not give him the chance to do it again.

He flashed me a smile. “How have you been?”

I did not smile back. “What do you care?”

“Come on, Terry. Loosen up. It wasn’t my fault you lost your job. I swear.”

NEW RELEASE - NO ONE'S PERFECT - M/M CONTEMPORARY

This is the second book in the Hennessey Falls series.

“Come on, Terry. Loosen up. It wasn’t my fault you lost your job. I swear.”

“No? You’re saying you’re not the one who told that prick Freddy Johnson the reason I was late the morning my car broke down was because I was out looking for a new job?”

“So what if I did? It was meant as a joke. Just one of those stupid throwaway lines that sometimes get a chuckle and sometimes don’t. I wasn’t being serious. Freddy knew that and so did everyone else.”

“Maybe so, but it didn’t stop Freddy dearest from running to the boss and twisting the story around to suit himself, now did it?” I paused and shook my head. “I wouldn’t have thought the sorry little fucker had the balls to pull a trick like that, but…”

MySexySaturday - DOUBLE DELICIOUS

July 11, 2015:

For this, the 100th edition of MySexySaturday http://mysexysaturday.blogspot.ca/ I have seven paragraphs from Double Delicious. This book won “The Best of 2008” award from Allromanceebooks (I think it actually made second place for the whole year) and it still remains my No.1 best seller. I thought about doing a sequel or follow-up, but there are some stories where I feel it’s best to leave whatever happens next to the readers’ imagination:

DOUBLE DELICIOUS
By Christiane France
http://www.amberquill.com/store/p/557-Double-Delicious.aspxBlurb:

Blurb:
Suzie Nield has been fantasizing about Matt Porter and Mike Hanes for weeks, ever since moving into the house across the street from the handsome duo. Unbeknownst to Suzie, however, Matt and Mike have been doing the same thing regarding her...
Yet except for the occasional smile or wave in passing, the trio never does more than fantasize. In fact, Suzie is fast coming to the conclusion the men are either painfully shy, which she seriously doubts, or that the pleasure-seeking playboys, as one of the other neighbors describes them, are the kind of men who are more interested in picking up babes and putting notches on their bedposts than they are in developing adult relationships.
But on Friday the 13th, fantasy becomes reality, and Suzie finally gets to know Mike and Matt. This will be the day she loses everything important in her life, and the day the sexy duo asks her to be the one thing that is missing in theirs...

Excerpt:

...“What’s the problem?” Matt asked. “Can’t sleep?”

“No. I tried, but…” She shrugged and fiddled with the belt of her robe. “You know how it goes sometimes.”

He smiled. “Matter of fact, I’m having the same problem myself. Maybe we need something to settle us down.”

“You figure?” She gave him a flirty smile and ran the tip of her tongue along her upper lip. “And just what do think might accomplish that?”

“I might have a couple of ideas.” The smile turned into a lascivious grin, and he opened the door wide. Suzie went to step inside, then paused and sucked in a quick breath when she realized not only was Matt completely naked, he wasn’t alone. Mike was lying, spread-eagled, on the king-sized bed, naked as the day he was born, with his eyes closed and the loveliest erection jutting straight out from his crotch that she’d seen in…considerably longer than she cared to think about. She drew in another, deeper breath and let it out slowly. Was this an invitation to party? Or was this what she’d thought they were into the first time she saw them?

“You wanna join us?”

“Join you?” She hesitated, positive there must be something wrong with her hearing. If the guys were gay, gay men didn’t…or did they? Although, bearing in mind the way each of them had come on to her earlier, maybe they swung both ways. “I…umm…I don’t know…I…Betts…you know the lady who lives up the street, she said you weren’t, that you were… Oh, shit! But now I see she was wrong and that you are. I’m really sorry. Please excuse me for barging in like this. I didn’t know. Just forget I was here. I…I’ll go find that glass of cold—”

MySexySaturday - PROUD MARY

July 4, 2015:

First, I'd like to wish all my US friends a Happy 4th. I hope the weather is good and the hot dogs super tasty.

For this week’s edition of MySexySaturday http://mysexysaturday.blogspot.ca/ I have seven paragraphs from:

PROUD MARY
By Christiane France
http://www.amberquill.com/store/p/562-Proud-Mary.aspx

Blurb:
Mary Bonelli has always been a proud, I-can-do-it myself kind of person, especially when it comes to taking care of family business and keeping promises. She promised Jamie McMahon she’d marry him when she grew up, but she also promised her grandfather she’d continue to keep the family restaurant in operation. Some promises, however, aren’t always that easy to keep...

When they fell in love in high school, Jamie had hopes for a future with Mary. But different careers took them in opposite directions, and their relationship dwindled to the point where Jamie figured it was over. Yet when Mary’s grandfather dies and she returns home, Jamie has to wonder...has she come back merely to honor the promise she made to her grandfather, or is she finally ready to keep the vow she made to him on the night of their high school prom?

Excerpt:
Jamie laughed and slipped his arm around her waist, snuggling her close so their bodies were glued together from shoulder to knee. She looked hot, felt soft as butter, and, as usual, smelled delicious. “You think sex is all men think about?”

“Absolutely. Sex and figuring out how to get into the girl’s panties in the shortest possible time.”

“I don’t waste time figuring out stuff like that,” Jamie said in a low voice as he leaned forward, scooped up some of the shrimp and popped a piece in Mary’s mouth.

“No?”

“No.” He grinned, catching the sudden sexy gleam in her dark eyes as he fed her a second piece of shrimp. “Much more fun to just rip ’em off.”

“Rip them off? Ooooh…sounds wicked.” She pretended to shudder as she snuggled closer and, using the table as cover, slipped a hand between his legs and began to stroke his cock. “And then what do you do?”

“I…umm…” He took a deep breath and grasped her hand to stop it from straying farther. “I tie them to the bed.”

IWSG Blog Hop

July 1, 2015:

Today is Canada Day. Our nation’s 148th birthday. A day to put my writing and the insecurities of the writing life aside and celebrate all things Canadian. From the scenic wonders of the Pacific Rim Highway and Long Beach on the far side of Vancouver Island--where I’ve visited on several occasions, to the most easterly tip of Newfoundland & Labrador that I’ve only seen from the air.

I live in the Niagara Peninsula which is slightly to the east of the middle, and on the edge of Lake Ontario, one of the Great Lakes. Some of our claims to fame include Canada’s Wonderland, Niagara Falls with its world class casinos, golfer Mike Weir’s Restaurant & Winery, comedian/actor Jim Carrey was born in Newmarket, a few miles away, comedian/actor Martin Short here in Hamilton, and Shania Twain in Windsor just across the border from Detroit.

But there’s so much more to Canada than that—things like National League Hockey. Poutine, a popular snack composed of French fries, cheese curds, and gravy. Then there’s Sugar Pie and Tourtiere (meat pie), our delicious Pacific salmon, and the wonderful fresh fruit and veggies that are grown right here in Ontario.

And on July 20, 2015 it will be ten years since Canada legalized same-sex marriages nationwide.
