March 28, 2015:

The Butterfly Girl was my first erotic romance for Amber Heat, and my husband says it’s still his favorite. It’s a paranormal romance set on an island in Ontario’s cottage country.

For this week’s edition of MySexySaturday http://mysexysaturday.blogspot.ca/ I have seven paragraphs from THE BUTTERFLY GIRL.

Tim Braiden needs somewhere quiet to finish his latest book and, hopefully, get back into his editor's good graces. Somewhere as far from the party scene and his drinking buddies as possible. A cottage on an uninhabited island set in the middle of a remote lake appears to be the perfect answer to his problem—until he arrives on the island and meets sexy, Marigold Fraser, a wildlife artist who specializes in paintings of Monarch butterflies. From the moment they meet, Tim knows Marigold is no ordinary girl. Marigold is special, magical, every man's ideal woman, who quickly takes over his dreams, his life, and finally his heart.

^ ^ ^

The woman took a small step toward him, and Tim took a small step back. This was a Canadian lake, not the sea. The woman took another tiny step forward. He’d never heard of a lake siren, but that wasn’t to say they didn’t exist. In these days of equal opportunity, anything was possible. He glanced up and down both sides of the triangular-shaped beach. “You have a boat here somewhere?”

“A friend brought me over.” She checked her watch. “He was supposed to come back and get me more than an hour ago.” She gave a soft, sexy laugh that sent Tim’s temperature up a couple of degrees and caused his stomach muscles to spasm.

He didn’t know the woman’s name. He didn’t have a clue who or what she was. He didn’t care about the details. His penis was pressing hard against the metal zipper of his jeans, and all he could think about was how much he wanted her—more than he could remember ever wanting a woman before.

He desperately wanted to see what she was hiding beneath that dress—slip the straps off her shoulders, move the fabric slowly down her body so he could suckle her breasts, kiss her silky flesh then lay down with her on the warm sand and expose her secrets to his searching mouth. She’d be so wet, he’d—

She continued to look at him and smile, her eyes issuing an invitation he couldn’t miss. But then she lowered her eyelashes and, for one crazy instant, Tim was tempted to put his thoughts into action while he had the chance. She looked soft, enticing and so very, very willing, with the kind of legs that went on forever. She’d wind those legs around his waist and hold him prisoner while he—

“Hey, look. I think that’s Ben coming now,” she said, pointing to the lake and jerking Tim out of his X-rated daydream. “See that boat out there?”

Tim couldn’t see a thing. He didn’t want to see anything. His head was churning with images and feelings that were way out, even for him. He wanted to taste her and bring her to the edge, and hold her there. Drive her wild with the same needs he felt himself, and when she was really ready, he’d—

A-Z CHALLENGE - THEME REVEAL

A-Z Blog 2015 - Theme Reveal

Thank you for visiting my little corner of the world and the theme reveal for the A-Z Blog Challenge http://www.a-to-zchallenge.com/ This is a great opportunity to meet new people, make new friends, learn about new things, and, hopefully, have fun in the process.

I’m Christiane France and I write romance. Some of my stories are sweet, some are spicy hot, some have a dash of mystery, one or two have my reader travelling either back or forward in time, and occasionally you’ll find a ghost lurking in the shadows.

For this year’s A-Z theme I chose A IS FOR ANYTHING so ’ll be doing a little of this and a little of that. In addition to writing, I love to cook, so there will be some of my favorite recipes, a few of the words that keep me on track with my life and my writing, the travels I’ve taken along with the odd trip down memory lane. There will also be blurbs for the books I’ve written this past year and at least one from my backlist.

MySexySaturday - SABOTAGE

March 21, 2015:

When Bruno returned home to Italy at the end of WWII, Pamela figured that was that and she’d never see him again. But sometimes no matter what you think the future holds chances are you could be wrong—especially when the future takes around two and a half years to happen.

For this week’s edition of MySexySaturday http://mysexysaturday.blogspot.ca/ I have seven paragraphs from SABOTAGE.

SABOTAGE
By Christiane France

Blurb:

When the dark clouds of war began to roll across Europe in 1939, Pamela Bradley-Browning expected to be conscripted into the British army. Instead, thanks to her wealthy father and his connections, and what he believed to be Pamela’s total inability to do anything except file her nails and party ’til dawn, she’s given safe but essential war work as an assistant intelligence analyst at MI5. That is until a flurry of sabotage activity and a shortage of agents has Pamela posing as a member of the Women’s Land Army with instructions to root out the bad guys.

Although determined to show her father she’s not the brainless idiot he thinks, Pamela makes the mistake of falling in love with Corporal Bruno Sabatini, one of the Italian prisoners of war working on the same farm. She knows fraternizing with the enemy is a crime. But she’s not too worried until she discovers Bruno’s father owns an arms factory in Italy, appears to be pro-German, and Bruno is MI5’s number one suspect as the saboteur. If Bruno is found guilty, she can add conspiring with the enemy to the charges against her.

While the Italian pow’s are the enemy and the obvious suspects, Pamela knows a saboteur needs motive as well as means, and she doesn’t believe the pow’s have either. It’s someone else, but who? Desperate to clear the name of the man she loves before the police decide to wring a confession out of him, she doesn’t know where to start looking--until the farmer’s wife, Maggie, decides to help, and Pamela learns about certain pre-war friendships and dangerous secrets that were successfully used as blackmail in the past.

Although this is something that happened five years ago and the blackmailer is now dead, Pamela has a feeling the potential for blackmail still exists. In fact, there’s an excellent chance someone else has discovered the secret and is using the knowledge for his or her own ends. To solve the mystery and save Bruno from false arrest, she’s in a race against time to find the latest pieces of the puzzle and unmask the real villain.

^ ^ ^

“You said you’d wait until I could come back for you.”

“So I did.” She’d waited for him in every possible way. Apart from giving her father a daughterly peck on the cheek, she hadn’t as much as kissed another man in over two-and-a-half years, and she’d certainly not slept with one, no matter how desperate she’d felt. And there had been a few times when she’d been so desperate for a man’s touch, it was hard to believe she’d managed not to give in.

“And did you wait?”

“Of course.” She hesitated as his lips brushed against hers, and she felt herself melt. She knew how men felt about sex, especially someone as hot-blooded as Bruno… “Did you?”

“Yes.” He laughed and nuzzled her neck. “You may find that hard to believe, and I admit, it was difficult. Of course, I had to take a lot of ice-cold showers. But it was worth it. I love you so much, bella.

“Love you, too.” Pressing her face against Bruno’s chest, she breathed in his scent. He smelled the same, but different. Instead of eau-de-milk-churn and the breath-stealing aroma of cowshed, he smelled of expensive aftershave and French, hard-milled soap—wonderful, masculine scents that hadn’t been available since before the war.

“And you still want to marry me?”

MySexySaturday - CROSSING THE LINE

March 14, 2015:

Wanting what we can’t have or are not supposed to want can make life very difficult. Especially if you’re the boss, supposedly straight, and all you can think of is making out with your sexy new chauffeur.

For this week’s edition of MySexySaturday http://mysexysaturday.blogspot.ca/ I have seven paragraphs from CROSSING THE LINE.

CROSSING THE LINE
By Christiane France

Blurb:

Rather than embarrass his wealthy family by admitting he’s gay, Alexander (Lex) Derekston solved the problem by publicly conforming to their old fashioned, upright, uptight lifestyle, and inventing a second, shadowy life on the side.

Even after his parents are killed in a traffic accident and the pretense is no longer necessary, Alexander still continues to follow family tradition and keep his private life private. Then the family chauffeur retires, and Wil Forrest is hired in his place.

Wil is young, hot, sexy, almost certainly gay, and Alexander wants him. Desperately! But Wil is an employee, and when he suggests the two of them go clubbing together, Alexander is horrified. Old Abner Derekston had two rules the family has always lived by...one, never cross the line by getting overly familiar with the help, not if you want to maintain their respect, and two, if you want something, go for it.

^ ^ ^
“I want you. I haven’t stopped imagining the two of us together since the first time I drove you to the store.”

“Really?” Lex felt a sudden heightening of tension between them, as if something was about to explode. He wanted Wil more than he’d ever wanted anyone. He’d wanted him for weeks, he just hadn’t admitted how he felt until today, and he hadn’t thought past that. Not for one moment had he stopped to think how Wil might feel. And even in his wildest dreams he wouldn’t have thought there was a chance the wanting might be mutual. “I had no idea. I…”

“If you’re not interested, just say the word and I’m outta here.”

“If I wasn’t interested I wouldn’t be here. Okay?”

“In that case…” Slipping an arm around Lex’s shoulders, Wil steered him past the bar and onto the crowded dance floor.

The band was playing something slow and sexy. It was one of Lex’s favorites, but he couldn’t remember the title and he didn’t even bother trying. There was barely enough room to do more than shuffle their feet, but the moment he and Wil wrapped their arms around one another it was like being trapped inside a magic bubble. Everything disappeared except the man he was with and the moment. Their mouths met, tongues tangled, and he felt the heat of Wil’s body, the evidence of his arousal which was every bit as apparent as his own, and Wil’s own intoxicating scent as it invaded his senses and took over his mind. He wanted him so badly his chest felt constricted and he could barely breathe.

He felt Wil tugging at the zipper of his jeans, then his hand was inside, touching and stroking. Lex usually prided himself on his control, but the slight roughness of Wil’s fingers against his sensitive flesh caught him by surprise and he pushed away Wil’s hand, just in time...

MySexySaturday - I'M SORRY

March 7, 2015:

Misunderstandings probably account for more romantic break-ups than anything else. Add in a few lies and innuendo and it’s over for sure with no chance of going back. That’s usually the case, but there are exceptions to every rule. Sometimes love will still triumph no matter how much effort was put into trying to derail it.

For this week’s edition of MySexySaturday http://mysexysaturday.blogspot.ca/ I have seven paragraphs from I’M SORRY.

I’M SORRY
By Christiane France

 Blurb:

Misinformation and misunderstandings drove Chad and Reese apart and shattered their dream of a new life together.

Ten years later, they meet again in Las Vegas, and try to figure out what went wrong. However, Reese tells a completely different story to the one Chad heard back in New York, and now he’s convinced what he heard was true and Reese is lying.  Problem is, he still loves Reese, and Reese says he feels the same way. But can love overcome all the hurt and the pain and give them a second chance at happiness?

^ ^ ^

Gradually, the lies and the misunderstandings that had darkened his life for so long, even his resentment in thinking Reese had chosen someone else over him, slipped away along with the last notes of the music, leaving him filled with hope that maybe he and Reese could start over.

He stroked Reese’s short, dark hair, relishing both the closeness they shared and the weight of Reese’s head resting against his cock. If he could just convince Reese to turn his head a little…

But just like always, Reese had guessed what Chad was thinking, and now he was pressing hot kisses through the fabric of Chad’s pants and sending his blood pressure rocketing upward into the danger zone.

Chad kept his eyes closed and held his breath, waiting for the next move that he knew would come as surely as day follows night.

There was a tiny moment of hesitation. Then Reese gave a soft groan and, as the weight in Chad’s lap lifted, Reese slid off the sofa and positioned himself on the floor between Chad’s knees.

He felt Reese undo his belt and unfasten his pants, then he lifted his butt slightly to allow Reese to pull off his pants and his boxers and let his aching prick spring free.

“Do I need a condom?” Reese asked in a husky, emotion-laced voice as he pushed up Chad’s sweater and began to kiss and stroke Chad’s firm belly.
